Construction of the GTA hub and associated infrastructure is around 99% complete and acceptance tests and commissioning are well underway so that the FLNG GIMI gas liquefaction vessel can be received and hooked up in the coming weeks.
This was noted today by the Ministers of Petroleum in Mauritania and Senegal, accompanied by their colleagues of the environment and an important delegation including advisors to the Presidency of the Republic in both countries, senior officials from the Ministries of Petroleum , Defense and Fisheries in both countries, regional directors of BP and Kosmos as well as the CEOs of SMH and Petrosen.
The visit was an opportunity for the two Ministers to see by themselves the scope of the project and the work accomplished on the execution of phase 1 which has exceeded 88%.
It was also an opportunity for the Ministers to thank and congratulate the partners, the national oil companies and the Ministries teams for this great accomplishment despite the challenges faced.
